Saturday 28th September saw the 3rd annual crowning of the prestigious Miss Uganda UK event under JM Promotions and the 2nd one held at the famous York Hall in Bethnal Green which was well attended. Miss Uganda UK 2013 saw 10 finalists battle it out to become the new queen taking over from 25 year old Gladys Kyotungire.
Beating other 9 beautiful ladies of Ugandan descent was Miss Deborah Kabahinda (contestant 1) an 18-year-old student and Loughborough University, followed by Priscilla Anyabu (contestant 2) who also won Best Traditional wear and 2nd Princess was won by Sharon Kazinga who scooped (Best Ambassador & Keith Heart Foundation Ambassador on the night) both students. Miss Kabahinda went on to win other mini awards - Miss Talent, Best Catwalk and Best Evening wear.
The event kicked off with the contestants singing the national anthem then straight with the opening dance, 4 finalists - Deborah, Priscilla, Shannan and Sharon then went on to do a talent round. All 10 finalists paraded in traditional wear, red swim wear and evening gowns. Entertainers and performers were all UK based artists from different backgrounds.

Best Swim wear - Sarah Serungoji
Best Campaigner on the night was Sandra Lamaro
